1. "Learning Theme Park in Mihara"

October 4th (Sat)

A hands-on learning event called "Learning Theme Park in Mihara" will be held to provide children the opportunity to gain many experiences while learning.

2. Sky Observatory Events

September 27th (Sat) ~ October 4th (Sat)

Autumn is the season for stargazing as it offers clear skies and perfect conditions for astronomical observation. Why not come and join us as we gaze up at the night sky from an observatory and enjoy a unique moment?

Location: Uneyama Observatory

(1) Saturn・Nebulae・ Star Clusters・Galaxy Observation Party

The planet Saturn will be at opposition on September 21st (Sun), providing a great opportunity for observation. We will also be observing Messier objects such as M57, M27, and M13.

Time: September 27th (Sat), 18:00 - 22:00

(2) Mid-Autumn Moon Observation Party & Shinobue flute Concert

Enjoy viewing the Mid-Autumn Moon and listening to a Shinobue flute performance.

Time: October 4th (Sat), 18:00 - 22:00 (The concert begins at 19:00 ).

3. Sewage Interaction Day

September 27th (Sat)

Location: Nuta River Purification Center (Enichicho 1-chome)

Time: 10:00 - 15:00 ※A special performance of the "Mihara Yassa Taiko drums" will be held from 10:00.

Contents: Featuring facility tours, panel displays, microbial observations, fun activities and many more. ※Those who complete a questionnaire will receive free bulbs, fertilizer, and other gifts on a first-come, first-served basis.

5. The 25th Mihara Movie Festival

6. Mihara Children's and Parenting Support Event - Parents and Children Together! Tsubasa Suzuki - Play Song Concert

September 28th (Sun)

Location: Rafurafu Kids' Hall

7. Mihara Yukata Festival 2025 - Commemorating the 20th Anniversary of Mihara City's Incorporation

September 13th (Sat) and 14th (Sun)

This is a citizen-driven festival where you can enjoy various food and drinks while wearing a yukata, a type of kimono (traditional Japanese clothing) that is rarely worn in everyday life.

Location: Fuji Grand Mihara North Parking Lot

Time: 11:00 - 21:00 (until 19:00 on the 14th)

Contents: Stage events, gourmet food, and a kids' play area are also plentiful! In addition to the annual yukata contest, there will also be a special 20th anniversary booth.

8. Hiroshima Airport Air Traffic Control Facility & Air Traffic Controller Job Experience Tour

October 19th (Sun)

You'll get to see facilities that are normally off-limits and experience the work of an air traffic controller.

Location: Hiroshima Airport Office (building with control tower)

9. The 6th Hiroshima Prefecture Sepak Takraw Open Championship Tournament -  Commemorating the 20th Anniversary of Mihara City's Incorporation

September 13th (Sat) and 14th (Sun)

This tournament will bring together players representing the Japan National Teams from all across the country to compete while spectators come and enjoy the tournament.

Sepak Takraw Experience Workshop

Time: September 13th (Sat) 11:00 - 12:00 & 14:00 - 15:00

September 14th (Sun) 9:30 - 10:30

Contents: Sepak Takraw players will teach participants kicking techniques as well as how to serve and do attacks.

Target: For elementary and junior high school students.

Daily Life Information

1. Animal Welfare Week will be held from September 20th (Sat) to the 26th (Fri)

Pets are important family members. We must care for them with love and responsibility until the end.

●Do not let dogs roam free, always keep them on a leash when walking, and keep cats indoors.

●If you do not wish for your pets to breed, have them spayed or neutered.

●Register your dog and have it vaccinated annually against rabies. If your dog passes away, be sure to report it.

●Do not irresponsibly feed stray dogs and cats.

2. One-day general consultation room

3. Suicide Prevention Week: "Tell us your worries and feelings"

From September 10th (Wed) to the 16th (Tues), the "Suicide Prevention Week" will be held.  Counseling is also available via LINE and chat.

4. Gatekeeper training: Let's reach out to people experiencing trouble

We will be training gatekeepers, whose role is to "notice" people who are experiencing troubles or is in need of help, "listen" to them, "connect" them to a consultation center, and then "watch over" them afterwards.

5. The National Autumn Traffic Safety Campaign begins

The National Autumn Traffic Safety Campaign will be held from September 21st (Sun) to the 30th (Tues).

【Initiatives】

●Preventing pedestrian traffic accidents.

●Turning on headlights early after dusk and eliminating drunk driving.

●Wearing helmets when riding bicycles and other vehicles and following traffic rules.

6. If you find anything unusual on a road or river, please contact us.

You can report unusual occurrances such as holes on the road or fallen trees anytime, anywhere using the "Road and River Abnormality Reporting System." The "Road and River Abnormality Reporting System" can also be accessed through the City's website or the City's official LINE.

7. Join the 2025 Refreshing Highland Walking in Kui

9. Gatherings for families of children with developmental concerns

You can consult with experts (clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, etc.) and experienced parents about your child's development.

Target: Families of elementary and junior high school children with developmental concerns.

10. You can consult with us about child development

Public health nurses, clinical psychologists, speech-language-hearing therapists, etc. are available to provide consultations regarding child development. Please feel free to consult with us about any concerns you may have about your child's language or behavior.

Time: Every Monday to Friday except on September 15th (Mon) & 23rd (Tues), 9:00 - 17:00

12. Apply early! The subsidy program for child car seat purchases will end at the end of September

Mihara City's unique economic support program for subsidies for child car seat purchases will end on September 30th (Tues). If you have purchased a child car seat but have not yet applied, please apply to get the subsidy by the end of September.

※Applications made from October will no longer be accepted.

Target: Parents raising a child under the age of 6 as of the application date who have been registered as residents of Mihara City from the date of purchase of the car seat until the application date.

※Limited to one application per child.

※Applications must be made within one year of the purchase date.

Subsidy: Maximum of 5,000 yen
