1. Popolo Open Theatre 2026

March 28th (Sat) ~ 29th (Sun)

There will be lots of fun events for children, including art exhibitions, flower arranging and tea ceremony experiences, and family concerts.

2. 2026 Roadside Station Mihara Shinmei no Sato Grand Appreciation Festival

March 7th (Sat) ~ 22nd (Sun)

Time: 9:00 ~ 18:00 (Except on the 17th (Tues) as it will be closed)

Content: Shinmei no Sato will hold a Grand Appreciation Festival to express its gratitude. The festival will feature a collaboration event with Roadside Station Raimu Togouchi (Akiota Town), as well as special menus, a raffle, and more.

3. The Night of Hinamatsuri! Total Lunar Eclipse Observation Party

March 3rd (Tues)

On the night of Hinamatsuri (Girl's Day), an observation event will be held where you can view the lunar eclipse from the beginning to the end. Come and see the moon turn copper-colored as it hides in the Earth's shadow!

Place: Uneyama Astronomical Observatory

Time: From 18:00

Fee: 310 yen for general entry, 210 yen for junior high and high school students, 100 yen for elementary school students, free for children of preschool age and below.

4. Spring 2026 Flea Market - Now accepting vendors

April 12th (Sun) ※To be cancelled in case of rain

Content: A Flea market with around 100 stalls

5. Circuit Walk and Walking Rally

March 15th (Sun) and 28th (Sat) ※To be cancelled in case of rain

Itosaki Scenery Viewing Walking Rally

Location: Itosaki Shrine (Itosaki 8-chome)

Time: 9:30 on the 15th (Sun) (Registration starts from 9:00)

Content: A 5.2km walk from Itosaki Shrine via the Roadside Station Mihara Shinmei-no-Sato.

Limit: 50 people ※Children under elementary school age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

This is a 1~10km walk, where participants choose their own distance based on their physical strength.

3. Forest fire warnings and alerts have begun operation

We have revised the fire prevention ordinance to issue a forest fire advisory or forest fire warning system when weather conditions make it favorable for forest fires to occur. Whenever a forest fire advisory or warning is to be issued, outdoor use of fires will be restricted. For more information on how to check advisories and warnings and the system to be set in place, please check the information available on the Fire Department Headquarters Homepage (link below).

4. If you find anything unusual on a road or river, please contact us.

You can report unusual occurrances such as holes on the road or fallen trees anytime, anywhere using the "Road and River Abnormality Reporting System." The "Road and River Abnormality Reporting System" can also be accessed through the City's website or the City's official LINE.

5. Free consultations for women by female judicial scriveners

In conjunction with International Women's Day on March 8th (Sun), a female judicial scrivener will be available to provide consultations regarding topics such as divorce, inheritance registration, wills, issues with elderly parents, guardianship, debt, starting a business, labor disputes, court procedures, domestic violence, and many more.
